How to Sign in with a Microsoft Account

Follow

The "Sign-in with Microsoft" feature enables Database Platform users to have one-click login access to products on the Database Platform:

  • American History
  • African-American History
  • American Indian History
  • Modern World History
  • Ancient and Medieval History
  • World Religions
  • Health Reference Center
  • Science Online
  • Bloom's Literature

This optional feature is controlled at an institution’s account level within the admin portal. It is turned off by default. If you do not see the Microsoft Sign-in button or the Microsoft Sign-in screen contact your account administrator.  (Account Administrators to learn more about enabling or disabling this feature, please consult this help article.)

Microsoft Sign-in only works with institutional Microsoft accounts. It does not work with individual personal accounts.

Direct URL Log-in page

In order to use direct Microsoft Sign-in, you must go to the product's direct log-in url address. This url contains the product id and your institutions's account id.  If you do not go to the Direct URL, the Microsoft Sign-in button will not display.

Here is an example of a product Direct log-in URL -
https://online.infobaselearning.com/Direct.aspx?aid=###&pid=WE##
The aid # is your institution's account id number. The pid WE number is the product id.

Enable Direct Log-in

Besides enabling Microsoft Sign-in, Account administrators can also enable Direct Log-in. When Direct Log-in is enabled, the product login page is skipped and the user goes directly to the Microsoft Log-in page. If the user does not have an Infobase account, one is created automatically.

  6. After linking your Infobase and Microsoft accounts, you will be sent to the database homepage, already logged into your folder

Other ways to link Microsoft and Infobase accounts.

There are two other places where you can establish the initial link between your Infobase account and your Microsoft account.

  1. My Account Sign-in pop-up box
On this page, you can link your accounts by clicking on the Sign-in with Microsoft button.
  2. My Preferences page
Your accounts can also be linked by toggling the Microsoft ON button under Connected Social Accounts.

These options will direct you to the Microsoft’s Sign-in with Microsoft pages and the Infobase Login to link with Microsoft page.

(To learn how to disconnect your Microsoft and Infobase Databases accounts, please consult this help article.)
